Our Artisans
After the fruit is wild harvested and the pulp extracted, the material is prepared by seed artisans with the utmost respect for the forest and our health, they are naturally dyed, and sanded and drilled by hand. Even though their knowledge comes from generations of forest people, I see them innovating each year with different colors and shapes. These seeds are purchased by the jewelry artisans, who use their cultural history and new fashionable styles to design unique pieces. Even the simplest bracelet is unique as every seed is unique. Indigenous artisans who work with different fibers are known to harvest, prepare the material and make the jewelry themselves.
Our bio jewelry is made by self employed artisans who are paid full price, I buy their pieces for the price they sell their jewelry in local Brazilian markets.
